Your game, your choice
Privacy, plainly.
You can play SudokuDog without an account. We do not display ads or add advertising trackers.
Playing in your browser
Your current puzzle, moves, settings, and local records are stored on this device in your browser. The web app can cache its public game files for offline use. Clearing website data removes these local saves.
Optional sign-in and sync
SudokuDog uses FCC accounts. Signing in sends your email and the code you enter to FCC’s account service. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in on this domain. Your SudokuDog current game and compact game history are stored on FCC’s servers in a separate SudokuDog collection. They are not combined with or used to replace FCC Sudoku saves or history, even when you use the same account.
History records include difficulty, timing, progress, outcome, and counts of actions such as notes, hints, and mistakes. The history log does not contain your puzzle, solution, individual moves, or seed. Your separate current-game sync contains the state needed to resume play.
Hints and play summaries
Board hints run in your browser. When you choose Analyze my play, SudokuDog creates practice suggestions from your SudokuDog history using fixed rules. This feature does not send your information to an AI service. FCC Sudoku history is excluded. The native iOS Coach also uses on-device rules.
Website operations
Our hosting services process ordinary connection information, including IP addresses, to serve requests and protect the service. Authentication and personal game API responses are excluded from the web app’s offline cache.
Your choices
Play without signing in, sign out on this site, or clear local website data in your browser. Manage your FCC account and available data controls at FCC Account; you may need to sign in there separately. Account deletion is an FCC-wide action.
SudokuDog is operated as part of FCC. The full FCC privacy policy explains account handling and retention. For questions or requests, contact us through FCC support.
